BIOTEK CHAMPIONSHIP RULES AND REGULATIONS

as part of the “BIOTEK 40th Anniversary” Event

These Rules and Regulations govern participation in the BIOTEK Championship (the "Championship"), organized by BIOTEK S.r.l. as part of the BIOTEK 40th Anniversary event, which will take place on May 21, 2027, at Superstudio Village, Milan, Italy.

Participation in the Championship constitutes full acceptance of these Rules and Regulations, as well as the Terms and Conditions governing the sale of tickets and participation in the Event.


1. ORGANIZER

The Championship is organized by BIOTEK S.r.l., having its registered office at Via Rodolfo Farneti 8, 20129 Milan, Italy, VAT No. IT10911780152, certified email (PEC): amministrazione@pec.biotek.it, email: info@biotek.it.


2. NATURE OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND EVENT ENTRY REQUIREMENT

2.1 The Championship is a competitive activity held as part of the BIOTEK 40th Anniversary event.

2.2 Participation in the Championship is reserved exclusively for individuals who have purchased a valid admission ticket for the BIOTEK 40th Anniversary event.

Accordingly, no person may participate in the Championship without being duly registered for the Event.

2.3 The Championship awards ceremony will take place during the Event, according to the schedule and procedures established by BIOTEK and communicated to the participants.


3. CHAMPIONSHIP CATEGORIES

3.1 The Championship includes the following competition categories:

  • Hair Stroke Eyebrows
  • Powder Brows
  • Lips
  • Areola

3.2 Participants may register for one or more categories upon payment of the applicable registration fee for each selected category.


4. REGISTRATION FEE

4.1 The registration fee for the Championship is EUR 150.00 + VAT per category.

4.2 Participants registering for multiple categories shall pay the applicable registration fee for each selected category.

4.3 Championship registration fees are final and non-refundable.

A Championship registration may be transferred to another participant, provided that written notice is sent to BIOTEK at leonardosemeraro@biotek.it no later than April 20, 2027, indicating:

  • the details of the substitute participant; and
  • the category or categories being transferred.

5. COMPETITION DURATION AND SCHEDULE

5.1 For each Championship category, participants will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete their competition entry.

5.2 Detailed schedules regarding check-in, accreditation, preparation, and competition times for each category will be communicated by BIOTEK at a later date via email, publication on the official website, or any other communication method deemed appropriate.

5.3 Participants are required to arrive punctually according to the communicated schedule.

Late arrival may result, at BIOTEK's sole discretion, in a reduction of the available competition time or exclusion from the Championship, without entitlement to any refund.


6. COMPETITION PROCEDURE

6.1 All Championship entries shall be performed on synthetic practice skin supplied by the Organizer.

6.2 No live models are required.

6.3 Participants shall complete their work in accordance with all technical, organizational, and timing instructions provided by BIOTEK and/or the Competition Judges.


7. TECHNICAL PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

7.1 Only battery-operated/wireless PMU machines may be used during the Championship.

7.2 Participants are required to bring their own battery-operated/wireless machine suitable for completing the competition, unless they have purchased the BIOTEK Rental Kit referred to in Article 8 below.

7.3 Participants who do not own a battery-operated/wireless machine, or who arrive with equipment that does not comply with the technical requirements set out in these Rules and Regulations, may participate in the Championship only upon purchasing the BIOTEK Rental Kit, subject to availability.

7.4 If a participant does not possess a compliant battery-operated/wireless machine and has not purchased—or is unable to purchase—the BIOTEK Rental Kit, BIOTEK reserves the right to refuse admission to the Championship or exclude the participant from the competition, without any entitlement to a refund of the registration fee.


8. BIOTEK RENTAL KIT

8.1 Participants who wish to travel light, who do not own a battery-operated/wireless machine, or who arrive without compliant equipment, may purchase the BIOTEK Rental Kit for EUR 50.00 + VAT per competition category.

8.2 The BIOTEK Rental Kit includes:

  • temporary use, for the duration of the competition, of a BIOTEK ERA wireless machine;
  • disposable supplies provided by BIOTEK for use during the competition, subject to organizational availability.

8.3 The wireless machine supplied through the Rental Kit will be assigned by BIOTEK at its sole discretion.

Participants acknowledge and accept that they will not be entitled to select a specific machine model from those available.

8.4 The Rental Kit may be purchased through the official Event website.

Should a participant forget to purchase the Rental Kit in advance or require one due to unforeseen circumstances, BIOTEK may, at its sole discretion, allow the Rental Kit to be purchased on-site, strictly subject to remaining availability and without any obligation to guarantee availability on the day of the Event.

8.5 The Rental Kit fee is final, non-refundable, and payable separately for each competition category for which it is requested.

8.6 Should the rented machine be damaged while in the participant's possession, the participant shall be liable to pay BIOTEK an additional amount of EUR 500.00 + VAT as compensation for the damage.


9. MATERIAL TO BE PROVIDED BY THE PARTICIPANT

9.1 Except for the items included in the Rental Kit, each participant is responsible for bringing all materials necessary to complete the competition, including, without limitation:

  • a compliant battery-operated/wireless machine (unless using the Rental Kit);
  • needles;
  • pigments/colors;
  • disposable supplies;
  • any lamps or other accessories deemed useful by the participant.

9.2 BIOTEK will not provide universal needles or pigments/colors. These items remain the sole responsibility of each participant.

9.3 Each participant is solely responsible for ensuring that all equipment and materials brought to the Championship are compliant, suitable, hygienic, safe, and in proper working order.


10. EXCLUSION FROM THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND NON-REFUND POLICY

10.1 BIOTEK reserves the right to refuse admission to the Championship or to exclude any participant from the competition, including on the day of the Event, if such participant:

a) has not purchased a valid admission pass for the Event;

b) has failed to pay in full the registration fee for the selected competition category or categories;

c) does not comply with the technical participation requirements set out in these Rules and Regulations;

d) does not possess a compliant battery-operated/wireless machine and, where required, has not purchased the BIOTEK Rental Kit;

e) engages in inappropriate, offensive, unfair, or disruptive conduct, or otherwise acts in violation of these Rules and Regulations or the Organizer's instructions;

f) arrives late to an extent that is incompatible with the proper conduct of the competition.

10.2 In all cases where admission is denied or the participant is excluded as a result of failure to comply with these Rules and Regulations, the Championship registration fee shall not be refunded.


11. JUDGING PANEL AND EVALUATION CRITERIA

11.1 All Championship entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges composed of industry professionals and experts appointed by BIOTEK.

11.2 The composition of the judging panel may be announced by BIOTEK before or during the Event, or may remain confidential until the beginning of the competition, at the Organizer's sole discretion.

11.3 The judges will evaluate each entry on the basis of technical, artistic, and professional criteria established by BIOTEK and/or the judging panel for the relevant competition category.

11.4 The decisions and evaluations of the judging panel shall be final for the purposes of determining the rankings and selecting the Championship winners.


12. RANKINGS, WINNERS, AND SCORES

12.1 Upon completion of the judging process, the judging panel shall establish the rankings of the participants for each competition category and/or the overall Championship ranking, according to the competition format determined by BIOTEK.

12.2 The winners shall be officially announced during the Event, either during the final awards ceremony or at another time designated by BIOTEK.

12.3 Scores, points, evaluation sheets, judges' notes, and any other internal documents or materials relating to the judging process shall not be disclosed, delivered, or made available to participants, unless BIOTEK decides otherwise at its sole discretion.

12.4 Participants acknowledge and accept that BIOTEK is under no obligation to grant access to, share, or provide copies of scores, evaluation sheets, or judging records, except where required by mandatory provisions of applicable law.

13. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO RECORDING, AND MEDIA RIGHTS

13.1 During the Championship, BIOTEK may take photographs and record video footage of participants, competition entries, workstations, the awards ceremony, and related activities.

13.2 Such content may be used by BIOTEK for promotional, editorial, documentary, and commercial purposes related to the Event, the Championship, and the BIOTEK brand, including publication on websites, social media channels, newsletters, press kits, and marketing materials.

13.3 During the BIOTEK Championship, participants, accompanying persons, and members of the public are prohibited from making complete or substantial recordings of the competition entries, workstations, evaluation sheets, competitors' work, judges' instructions, or organizational activities of the Championship, whether by video camera, smartphone, tablet, or any other device capable of audio or video recording.

Important

Unauthorized recording of substantial portions of the competition, judging materials, or organizational activities is not permitted.

14. PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES

14.1 Each participant is responsible for all equipment and materials brought to and used during the competition, as well as for compliance with all applicable safety, hygiene, and organizational requirements.

14.2 BIOTEK shall not be liable for the loss, theft, damage, or malfunction of participants' personal equipment or materials, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.

15. AMENDMENTS TO THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS

15.1 BIOTEK reserves the right to amend these Rules and Regulations for organizational, technical, safety, or operational reasons related to the management of the Championship, provided that any substantial amendments will be communicated through reasonable and appropriate means.

16. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

16.1 These Rules and Regulations shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy.

16.2 Any dispute arising out of or relating to the validity, interpretation, performance, or termination of these Rules and Regulations shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Milan, without prejudice to any mandatory rights granted to consumers under applicable law, where such rights apply.
